Let Your Garden be an Extension of Your Home
Jennifer Rust Botanicals loves offering the following services.
Container gardens can be designed for any size space. They provide instant aesthetic and function, are manageable and can hold just about any type of plant; edible, floral or evergreen.
Containers – Jennifer Rust Botanicals can source sizable pots based on your design needs, utilize your own existing large containers or window boxes or having something custom built. The goal is to make it easy for you while also giving you something beautiful to look at and enjoy.
Installation – Jennifer Rust Botanicals will install all plants on site and, of course, clean the area of all debris. We will provide you with instructions for continued watering and care. Ongoing maintenance can be provided as well.
Small Garden Design
Jennifer will meet with you to discuss your outdoor space. We will discuss how and when you want to use it, the changes you want to make and what existing plants may be retained or transplanted for other use. This will include a discussion about the style of garden that best meets your needs, whether that be classical with a neat and clean symmetry or lush with seasonal bloom and interest.
Jennifer will then provide a rough sketch of the proposed layout and either do the work herself or bring in a contracted crew under her direction. Jennifer will source the plants to ensure they are of the best size, quality and or may be suitably changed from the design if something is unavailable.
The maintenance of your garden is one of the most important factors in realizing your vision. Jennifer will source plants that will help you with your goals of low maintenance, no maintenance, reasonable maintenance, etc. or you can contract her to do the maintenance on your behalf.
For containers we can just install and then leave the maintenance entirely to you. However, we do recommend container servicing roughly 3-4 times a year to provide year round interest and upkeep.
- April – spring planting
- June / July – pruning back and sprucing up for the heat
- October – more minimal planting for winter interest
- February – winter cleanup if necessary
Plants are living – and if it is alive it is never maintenance free – but it does not have to be daunting and it should always be inspiring.
